(To find out more see http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ei/bgn/3396.htm) It is one of the world´s most volcanically active countries as well as home to Europe´s largest glacier. The fields of black lava, boiling geysers, spectacular waterfalls and extensive glaciers are just several of the many stunning natural attractions in Iceland. For travelers looking to visit Iceland during the winter, there are a wide variety of activities to do and sites to see that make Iceland an authentic winter wonderland.

Active travelers will not be disappointed by the outdoor activities in Iceland during the winter. In the summer, the glaciers become softer and are unsafe for trekking. In the wintertime, however, glacier trekking is a popular activity. The massive glaciers and wide-open landscapes are ideal for long distance ski touring.

Visitors to Iceland can also enjoy alpine skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing at any of Iceland´s many ski resorts. The largest ski resort in Iceland, Bláfjöll Recreation and Ski Center is only 30 minutes from Reykjavík.

Winter is also an exciting time to experience the outdoor geothermal spa at Blue Lagoon. The contrast between the air temperatures and the heated geothermal seawater at Blue Lagoon make it an especially exciting experience. Although there are fewer daily visitors at Blue Lagoon during the winter months, many locals believe that winter is the best time to bathe at Blue Lagoon. The cold, fresh air, stunning natural scenery and hot, steamy water create a pleasant, relaxing experience.

Regardless of the season, the Golden Circle tour is a must-see part of all Iceland tours such as those available from http://www.adventures.is/. This popular route is around 300 kilometers long and loops from Reykjavík to central Iceland and back. Main stops on the route are the Gullfoss waterfall, National Park Thingvellir and the Great Geyser area.

Winter is a pleasant time to visit Iceland, whether you´re interested in winter sports, relaxing in the Blue Lagoon, visiting Iceland´s principal natural attractions or a combination of these activities. Iceland is indeed a winter wonderland both for the natural beauty of the glacial and volcanic landscapes and the wide variety of places to practice winter sports.

Travelling can be a lot of fun, while it can also be a daunting process at the same time. You have to carefully plan things ahead, make a hotel reservation or wherever you’re staying, and if you will be bringing a car or not. In most cases, people find it more convenient to just lease a car or avail of 4wd rental services rather than to bring their own vehicle, especially if you’re travelling from one state to another. If you’ve decided to rent, it would be better to find a deal that can let you save a lot of money. But then again, this does not mean that you no longer have to consider the company’s reputation above anything else. It is definitely more fun to enjoy a vacation or an out-of-town trip when you know you’re in good hands, and driving a vehicle in a good condition at a reasonable deal.
Because of the country’s unstable economy, there are rental companies who tend to offer deals that may seem too good to be true at first sight, only to find out that you are even slashed off more at the end of the day. This is why you need to be very careful when choosing a 4wd rental service to get. It is an even better idea to stick with bigger names that are already proven to be reputable and stable, rather than to try a relatively new and smaller firm just because it offers a lower rate. Chances are, they may offer a low daily rate but you might just be surprised with unbelievable extra and hidden charges. This can be really scary especially to those who have no prior experience to such kind of process. There is also a bigger chance that the vehicles they are leasing already have existing damages that may be charged to your account without you even realizing it.

San Francisco is a unique city featuring cultural diversity, Victorian architecture and incredible sightseeing destinations. The city was built at the edge of a peninsula located between the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific coast. San Francisco’€™s population increased at an extraordinary rate during the California Gold Rush of 1848 and became diverse with immigrants arriving from all over the world including China.

Visitors to San Francisco will appreciate the mild climate that features dry summer months and cool winters. Also, the city was built along and over its natural landscaping, a fact that caused much of San Francisco to be constructed on hilly terrain. Visitors will appreciate the extra effort that walking around the city can entail with streets that go straight up and down hills. Guests will receive a large amount of exercise just walking from one destination to another. Or they can float out to sea; Being a major port for most cruise lines, plenty of cheap cruises leave San Francisco daily.

New travelers to the city won’t want to miss the Golden Gate Bridge, which is among the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. For those who drive into San Francisco, the bridge is one of the major ways to arrive into the city. Also, guests should take a ride in one of the city’s popular cable cars. This form of public transportation runs between Market Street and Fisherman’s Wharf.

Fisherman’s Wharf is a famous and still working wharf that has been in business since the 19th century. Guests will find some of the best seafood restaurants in the city and tourists will have a chance to see sea lions and museums. The Wharf also offers tours to Alcatraz Prison.

Chinatown in San Francisco is a popular destination and travelers will find amazing food along with unique shopping opportunities. Another area for first time visitors to place on their itinerary is Alamo Square Park, which features the famous homes nicknamed the “Painted Ladies.” These Victorian homes line the park and are a unique San Francisco landmark.

Guests will find a vast array of accommodations including San Francisco hotels, cozy inns and charming bed and breakfast lodgings offering vacationers a comfortable stay. Furthermore, travelers will discover an enchanting vacation experience with exciting activities encouraging a return visit.

Australia is a colourful, vast country, and all people fond of travel and adventure should consider exploring either its vibrant cities buzzing with life, or its national parks with their beautiful landscapes and unique and fascinating wildlife.

Barriers on the highway, spiders on your roof, decaying loads, cycling along the highway. It happens. The rules are different, no white lines on the road and the highway consists of a deserted road through the jungle. Dangerous? Is not too bad, but there are things you need to consider if you’re going to rent a car.

Good preparation is important

Car rental

Do the best with your tour guide. They have good contracts with well-insured (and, most importantly, reliable) car rental companies. Buy it will be at your own risk. It often takes only a few dollars extra, but saves hassle later. Do not rent through tour guide, rent a larger company and check what is included and what is not to counter surprises.
Always check the fuel level, especially after the car and walk along with an employee, so that all existing damage on the vehicle are known. Companies there have forms to sign. Let the oil level check and check all lights and turn signals work correctly, so you’re not the car for defects can be apprehended.

Unreliable companies do a common scams that they hire someone to drive you directly after their terrain ahead. Always enable police and call your rep to mediate with the police. Police in other countries is different than ours. It may be that you are liable, even if it’s not your fault. Very important: be polite!

Stay away from the towns just on the main roads. These are hardened. The side roads are mostly about the sandy paths. Here is your car not stand … and you’re not insured against damage when you damage riding on a dirt road …

Make no mistake in the distance. Distances seem close, but you can still underway hours. Over a distance of 115 km over 3 hours you can do … Fuelling: often they tank service, so you remain in your car and it is for your tank. Very nice, but check whether they are here the fuel gauge of the pump have put it to zero. Tipping is normal. Keep your dollars in your pocket. $ 1 tip is a standard tip.

There are major roads are not always larger villages and / or petrol stations. Tank is always full, before a road rises toward a different city.

Preparation

Always carry a gallon of water, food for two days, insect repellent, a gifpen and something warm (blanket or warm clothing. If you beaches by car trouble, then you have enough with you. Your phone will because not all do, so you have to wait until someone comes along. That can take hours.

Check the weather before you leave. You really do not want to end up in a rainstorm. Which can reduce visibility to zero and rinse you off.

Traffic

Keep away from trucks and other vehicles loaded for … there would sometimes charge afvallen.Strepen on the road? They are there, but very worn and you will see that the Mexicans are not very “solid ground” are. Traffic is mixed together, on a 3-lane road is a quiet 4-lane driving. So look in your mirrors more often.

Police

The Civil Guard is regularly monitoring all cars on the right papers and weapons and drugs. Is held up for whatever reason: work fully, not against sputtering. In any trace of opposition can be annoying. You do not want problems.

All seems very dramatic, but they are just some tips to help you in your car adventure begins. A good preparation just part. And it’s worth it! The “highway” to Chitzen Itza example is extinct. You’re driving all alone on a 2-lane road with left and right jungle. You see vultures flying, and you can see snakes and tarantulas crossing the road. And then suddenly you see a man on a bike ride and another man comes out of the bushes. Probably one of the Mayan villages who still lie hidden in the jungle.

Approximately 300 km from west to east at its widest point and 60 kilometers from north to south. The highest mountain (Psiloritis) is 2456 meters high.

Along the north coast are the four largest cities. Chania, Rethymnon, Heraklion and Agios Nikolaos. These cities are connected to the main road. A kind of highway along the north coast.

The most famous and visited places on Crete Hersonissos, Malia, Rethymnon (with a lovely Venetian center) and Agios Nikolaos (whose attraction is the bottomless lake). In the tourist resorts, shops are open every day during the season from 9:00 to 23:00.

In terms of nature, you can divide the island into two parts. The western half of green hills and more planting. The eastern half with rugged rock formations and steep cliffs. On the north coast is home to most beaches. The south coast beaches are mostly pebble. On the south coast you can find the most idyllic villages.

In Crete you can also find a number of special sites. The most famous is Knossos. A major excavation of a palace near Heraklion.Other famous excavations at Malia palace, basilica and odeon in Gortys and the palace at Phaistos. But everywhere you see signs in Crete are references to archaeological sites. Many of these are worth to stop and look around.

It’s the total package of nature, the mentality of the people, the food, culture and historical background why tourist love Crete so much. One day you can lie in a hammock under a palm tree enjoying the Sun. The other day you can walk in the mountains near the ski resort and you will still see snow lying down to flanks of the highest mountains.

If you are open to the culture and treated with respect, they are willing to share with you all of it. What You really have to appreciate is the tremendous sense of values. There is a lot of respect for the elderly and women. You can walk safely late at night on the street by yourself. And you do not have to worry about your car especially in the smaller villages, you can leave it unlocked.

And also, you must like Greek food. Especially Mezes. This combined with a nice glass of Greek wine and traditional Cretan music in the background, is something you will never forget.

I am a dedicated care provider. This profession has its highs and lows but nothing can take away nor match the feeling of doing the good deed of caring for someone. Not too long ago, my client of 3 years asked me if I would love to accompany them on one of the best cruises through the Caribbean. Even though, I was not quite fond of boats or the rhapsody of the seas, I reluctantly accepted their proposal. My patient suffered a major head injury when he was 10 years old. That pretty much affected his brain development, but did not interfere with his growth.

On the cruise, I have to admit I truly had a great time. Throughout the cruise, my patient had me cracking up none stop. As stated above, his mind is not 100 percent up to speed but that in no way prevented him from enjoying himself. His favorite artist is Michael Jackson, so on every song that came on he wasted no time with showing off his skills. He brought a smile plus tears of joy on everybody’s face by taking over on the dance floor. On both slow songs and fast songs he had the same few moves – the leg kick and the funniest of all, the moon walk.
