Vacation in San Francisco

San Francisco is a unique city featuring cultural diversity, Victorian architecture and incredible sightseeing destinations. The city was built at the edge of a peninsula located between the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific coast. San Francisco’s population increased at an extraordinary rate during the California Gold Rush of 1848 and became diverse with immigrants arriving from all over the world including China.

Visitors to San Francisco will appreciate the mild climate that features dry summer months and cool winters. Also, the city was built along and over its natural landscaping, a fact that caused much of San Francisco to be constructed on hilly terrain. Visitors will appreciate the extra effort that walking around the city can entail with streets that go straight up and down hills. Guests will receive a large amount of exercise just walking from one destination to another.

New travelers to the city won’t want to miss the Golden Gate Bridge, which is among the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. For those who drive into San Francisco, the bridge is one of the major ways to arrive into the city. Also, guests should take a ride in one of the city’s popular cable cars.
